Note:
Andrew Wyeth, confirmed that his brother Nathaniel was the model for this painting, a study of which remains in the Wyeth family. Later confirmed by Nicholas Wyeth grandson of Newell Convers Wyeth.
The first owners purchased the painting from the first formal showing of NC Wyeth’s work in Boston, at the time Wyeth was working on the mural at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston in 1922.
